Shipping policy

Processing Time
Orders will generally be processed within 5 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped.

In the event that an item in your order is out of stock, which should be stated on the product page, or you may be notified of this after your purchase, then the processing time may take up to 2 weeks as we work to secure your item(s) to fulfil your order.

Shipping
Different shipping methods and options will be available based on the destination country/region and the type of item being purchased. You can view the available shipping options, including details such as their estimated delivery time and whether or not they include tracking/insurance, during checkout, and select the desired one for your order. Shipping charges will be calculated based on the total cart weight and displayed at checkout.

If a message is displayed during checkout stating that shipping is not available in your country/region, then please contact us at info@tradejapanstore.com so we can look into adding shipping for your country. Please note, however, that shipping cannot be added at the moment for the following countries: Japan, Russia. (This list is subject to change.)

Loss / damage
Trade Japan Store will not be responsible for any packages that get lost or damaged in the mail, so please be sure to choose the shipping option that best fits your needs. Options that include tracking/insurance are available in certain countries, so consider using these when you feel it is necessary.

If your package does arrive damaged or you feel that it's been lost, please contact us at info@tradejapanstore.com to let us know, and we will try our best to help you resolve the issue.

Import duties and taxes
Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Trade Japan Store is not responsible for these charges, if they are applied, and are your responsibility as the buyer.

Many countries, however, have a minimum threshold for levying import duties/taxes, which means certain purchases won't incur any extra costs. Whether or not you will be charged any extra fees all depends on the destination country/region, the type of item, and the total value of the purchase, so please check with your customs office to determine this before making a purchase.

How do I check the shipping status of my order?
If you choose a shipping option that includes tracking when checking out, then you will be notified by email of the tracking number for you package and instructions on how to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.
